CLINTON COLUMN FOR MAY 22, 2003
All of us who have computers and are on the Internet have lots of stuff sent to us without us asking for it. Recently, my daughter, Barbara, informed me that the story I wrote about "Taps" is a myth, that the allegedly "real" story is a lot more involved, and that actually,"Taps" was a revision of another tune. This revision, however, did come about during the Civil War. If any of my readers would like more details about this story, let me know.
At our National Association of Retired Federal Employees Chapter 1260's meeting this month, we were visited by four of our legislators to give us some information about some of the things that happened during this past legislative session.
