CLINTON COLUMN FOR OCTOBER 10, 2002
My daughter, Barbara, and I just got back from a cruise to Bermuda on the Horizon, a Celebrity Cruise ship. It was a lot of fun, but we had some really rockin' weather when Kyle gave us a bit of a problem. The ship went out of Baltimore, so we did not have to fly anywhere else. I recommend it highly.
The oyster dinner at the American Legion in Clinton, has been cancelled.
Adrian and Barbara Davis of Clinton, are celebrating their tenth wedding anniversary this week, and Adrian celebrated his birthday on October 5. Congratulations to them. I love to hear from my readers with good news such as this.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. Be sure to check into getting your annual mammogram, if you have not done so already. Research suggests that obesity and overweight, especially weight gained in adulthood, increase the risk of breast cancer later in life. There is also evidence that excess weight gained during pregnancy raises breast cancer risk after menopause. What they are trying to tell us is that if we are too fat, we have a better chance of getting breast cancer, so that is a good reason to try and lose the extra weight.
In case you have not started an exercise program yet, if you are a Senior Citizen, we are having classes at Clinton Baptist Church on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, at 8:30am.
